Best shop in town as far as edibles, concentrates and tinctures. Wouldn't know about other items. Great senior discount! They are very knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful!! Love the guys that work here - they are awesome!!

Poor Customer Service Lost Military Discount Bad Hiring Choices

This place used to be great, but in the last year it's gone downhill significantly. First it was their credit card payment system fiasco.
Now it's devolved even further with frequent poor customer service (clearly due to bad hiring choices).
Today I was denied the military discount they've been giving me for years (since I'd previously shown them a copy of my DD214) by a young, smug, condescending female millennial wearing an iron maiden shirt (that was cool at least). She denied my military discount and told me that the herbal connection has been breaking the law for a long time, and that once she was hired, she informed them about their illeagle actions. As a result, they are now cracking down on providing that discount to their prior and current military customers. She stated that because of her, the herbal connection now requires a military ID , or a DD214 on each visit. I explained that I don't have a permanent military ID as I only served 8 years and didn't retire from the service. After explaining that to her, she went on to tell me that in order to get the discount, I needed go to the DMV to get veterans status put in my drivers license if I wasn't going to produce my DD214 on my next visit.
As this is the second time I've encountered poor customer service from a very young, condescending, and entitled employee at the herbal connection, I'll be taking my business to the other nearby dispensary on river rd where they are far more respectful to veterans.

Friendly Staff Quality Product Clean Location Safe Location

Staff always kind and friendly and knowledgeable. Been going here for a while. Been to several others with no where near the customer service. I keep going back because of the quality, knowledge and friendly staff as well as the quality of the product. Location is clean and safe. This coming from a person who has consumed cannabis for 35 years+.

Poor trimming Inaccurate labeling Bait and switch tactic

Honestly, I rarely leave negative feedback. So, when I do...
I've been to this place a couple times. Never had a problem. I got busy on the 4th and was really happy to see they had what I needed. I'd never used the pickup option before at any dispensary. My husband agreed to pick up the order on his way home from his errands.
I know when you buy weed that's 9.60 for an 1/8, that you're gonna get good weed, not great weed AND there's ABSOLUTELY NOTHING wrong with that. Weed with THC between 18 and 20% is my day smoke and to get it at that price, all the better. Add in a holiday discount and you can't go wrong. Right?
The 1/8 of PHK from Q Farms. Good high, but it's PHK. My complaint, lots of stems that should've been trimmed. If it were one or two buds that were the issue or the buds were bigger, I'd let it go, but there were actual tiny dried leaves with thin stems attached. Several of the stems on the microbuds were thicker and an inch long. A few microbuds were mostly stem. Often, dispensaries weight over a tenth of a gram or two, to make up for poor trimming or thicker stems in the actual buds themselves. Frankly, Swag I've bought at other places has had fewer stems.
The 1/8 of Cherry Zkittlez from Green Queen Farms was missing it's THC%. Not a biggie, I can look it up. It's a nice strain. Good high. Since I like Cherry pie and Zkittlez, I anticipated the hybrid would be yummy.
I was still looking for some loud weed. Something that hit really hard. I saw Wedding Cake grown by Eugreen on the menu. I've had the strain before in the low 20s, but I saw it at 28.79% THC and squealed with delight. I've also smoked strains from Eugreen before and I knew it was gonna be good. It was listed at 9.60 a gram. I decided it was worth it and added a gram.
What ended up in the bag? A container labeled as 1 gram of Wedding Cake at 22.32% THC grown by Fox Hollow Flora. Harvest date 4/15/19. Tested by Juniper Analytics 5/14/19. Batch 5283.
I asked my husband, if the person told him something had to be substituted or anything like that, but he said no. All the person did was verify the order number and the names of the strains.
In other industries, this tactic is called 'Bait and Switch'. Do I think this was their intention? Not sure. I want to chalk it up to stoners or old data, but when you have a pickup option on your menu, accuracy should be important. I know there are all the disclaimers associated with the pickup option, but Dude...
All this means is
1.) I won't shop here again.
2.) I won't recommend this shop.
3.) I won't use the pickup option at any dispensary.
4.) I'll only let my husband pick up orders from Target and Petsmart.

Incomplete Order Poor Quality Control

Would be 5 stars if they would remember to get all of my order. 3 times in a row now I've went in for some dabs and an edible and came home with just dabs... Make sure to check your bag before you leave.

Misleading Inconsistent Pricing Poor Customer Service

I put 2 stars in because i was very disappointed and mislead today. I typically have really good experiences with this place, but when you go in and buy a certain strain on bargain with high numbers and great quality for several days and then all of a sudden its changed the very next day. They knew the quality was great and they praised how good this stuff was, so i feel they bumped it up to the silver shelf due to the quality and the numbers to benefit themselves and not the farm. The numbers were the same, the quality was the same and the ataff claimed it was a new batch and thats why.......well thats very misleading. Im not one to spend alot on flower. I was very upset on how quick they changed the price and this has happened in more than one occasion, and i had to change what i was buying because i went in expecting it to be the same price and it was not. I am almost an everyday regular, its just gets to the point the you finally feel like saying something and i dont want to have to look somewhere else because i almost walked out today to go somewhere else, always lookin to find the next best deal.

Overcharging Poor Customer Service

If you have an OMMP card do not go to this dispensary! They overcharge the med patients by not waiving all the tax and refused to fix their systems math even after notifying them multiple times. I spoke to the manager and he refused to fix the problem even after I showed him the discrepancies.

This honestly has been the most absurd experience I've had as a med patient and I hope they right their wrong. I enjoyed the products they carry but I'm not about to be ripped off just for decent product..

Why are you collecting taxes on med patients? Did you forget what the OMMP card does?

Unacceptable Behavior Poor Customer Service Lying to Customers Rude Attitude

Hello, I am a fellow budtender down the road from your shop, and I was just informed that a budtender treated my father like garbage, ie; getting upset at my dad for wanting to stay on the budget shelf and lied to my dad and sold him a more expensive flower instead, all while having an extremely rude attitude. This is LYING to customers, unacceptable behavior for a business. He described the man to have glasses. I want you to know you have lost a great customer, and as a budtender I will now be telling people not to come to your shop. You didn’t even answer the phone when I called to complain formally, might I add, twice. You need to choose respectful budtenders. I am seething with anger that a fellow weed enthusiast hustled my own dad. Terrible behavior. I hope you choose your bud tenders wisely, management. Also, you need to learn how to answer your phones.
