Best selection of any smoke shop in the area. A lot of vape/ smoke shops will scam you by making up prices or even selling counterfeit products so it only makes sense to purchase from somewhere reliable, tried and true.
The staff are also very helpful and knowledgeable. If there's an item you're looking to buy and you need advice/ helpful info you can almost guarantee that there will be someone there that knows what they're talking about.
You should go to smokey shay's especially if it's going to be a purchase of significant value.

Winston shop is no good. Go to the Greensboro shop if you want anything. Winston doesn’t water test pipes, sold me a leaky geeb, then sold me a banger and a carb cap that didn’t fit in each other. Then when I asked if I could get one that fit correctly after they JUST sold me the wrong thing not 20 minutes earlier, they told me no. Absolutely not. The absolute MOST they could do would be a 50% off coupon. So because the employees messed up and sold me the COMPLETE wrong things, I have to spend more of MY money to get it corrected. Absolute incompetence.

I spent $50 on a delta 8 vape less than a week ago. I haven't charged it at all, not even used it that much. I took a puff last night and set it down. The device started smoking from the charhing end and now it doesn't work at all and smells like battery. I tried just to do an even exchange in the Winston Salem location, but they refused and all they did was give me a 20%off coupon. It was a $50 vape. Smokey Shays do NOT stand by their product(at least in Winston Salem). There are plenty of other places that actually will stand by their own merchandise and will do exchanges.

Business is doing great with following mask regulations and everything looks clean and sanitary in the store. Customer service was great, was shopping for my parents for Christmas and they helped me find all the things I was looking for without me feeling pressured to buy. They offered to gift wrap everything when I told them it was a gift for my parents and even caught a defective glass piece when wrapping it before it was too late. Always had good experiences shopping here and have used several of their discount cards, which everyone should be grabbing even if you only go there infrequently, they are very worth it and fill up quicker than you think!

Nice little smoke shop in downtown Winston, however the items are definitely overpriced.. I was waiting at one side of the store at a register to purchase a vape pen. No one came over after I know that I had been seen, so I finally just walked over and said hey can I get some help over there please? At that point he followed me over to sell me the item I was looking at.

Very friendly employees and a wide range of products.makea this a great place to pick up whatever you're looking for.

By far my second favorite, and best selection tobacco store in Winston

First and last time I will step foot in smokey shays.
The experience in the shop went well and with the rating the store has I wouldn't expect any less. I enjoyed their selection and settled on this grindhouse crank grinder, it was $40 and for a price like that I expected a sturdy piece. Fast forward 3 days and the crank broke off completely. Now I've owned several crank grinders so I know it definitely wasn't through any fault of my own. I decided to give them a call to see what they could do about it since I basically bought a defective grinder only 3 days before. They stated that they could not return or exchange which I understand due to the nature of the product, but since I had such a pleasant experience I expected some kind of solution. I should have read the reviews by various others with a similar experience. Heads up to any that shop with this store, if it seems like it might break you're better off dealing with the manufacturer so you can at least get some proper help when you get sold something defective.

EDIT: thank you to the owner for the swift response, although it didn't seem like it was to help but moreso to pit blame away as I have noticed happens often when a bad review is given. I was never given the option to email but the way I was responded to it seems like that offer is off the table. I am new to the store so I am not aware of the proper channels to go through in order to be properly attended. Again appreciate the swift reply I have amended the review to reflect your business' support.

I’ve been going to Smokey Shays in Winston for several years (about 5) and I have yet to be let down while going there. I even shopped there before they moved into the new building. All the staff are very knowledgeable with everything in there and if not they always ask somebody be else working there if they have any more thoughts on something. Everyone there is always super friendly and awesome to just chat quickly with. They have the best deals and best quality when it comes to Kratom. Recently tried to quit smoking 2 packs a day and their puff bar is what is helping the most. Even hooked me up with a better brand and better taste. Overall Smokey Shays is the place to go for any of your needs. Hands down 10/10 score. Highly recommend!!
