Mountain Annie's Cannabis - Recreational Dispensary

I was passing through Cortez and stopped here because they are the only place open at 8am. I was treated like a vip! Brooklyn and her coworker, man I’m sorry I forgot her name but she was so funny and nice. Both girls were patient and very knowledgeable. I told Brooklyn I’ve never been to a dispensary and she explained everything for me. I can’t wait to go back again! I wish I could give em 6 stars. Thanks Medicine Man! Keep up the awesome work!

Was a very nice clean shop. Attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. Most impressive connoisseur selection I've seen. I will definitely be back!

Checking in on the med side took forever while the employee chatted about other issues with another employee. Then I get back there and rudely and matter of factly get told about the member for 30 days rule. They won't even transfer records for 30 days because you have to be a member for 30 days for special treatment. No help on what to do or where to go and certainly no further help was offered. I left and found Livwell down the street. Much better experience which beat the med prices here on the rec side.

A lovely store with a very comprehensive inventory of buds, edibles, infused drinks, and pre-rolls, as well as lots of glass and other paraphenalia. Nice bud tenders who thankfully honor the low pressure sales method. You can ask questions and spend as much time as you need to get it right.

As a first timer I was impressed by the store so ...I bought product. Opened product 12 hours later. Product was new millennium future face. Product exploded in bag instead of being in the 3 separate containers. Called. Was told bud tender should have checked product before it left and they could not do anything. No wonder they only took my cash because if I had paid with a credit card- I would be disputing. Left a bad taste in my mouth for dispenseries. Wish I had more legal recourse than just finding places to write reviews.

This dispensary is clean and well stocked and I have only visited once. Prices were competitive.

My issue is with the quality of the medical pre-rolled joints, although the price was excellent for strain specific rolls.

1. The joints, unlike most tending shops, did not have a filter. Sure, you get a little more weed, but it all ends up in your mouth anyway.(A short joint lacking a filter has the same weight as a long joint with a filter)

2. The joints were rolled insanely tight! So tight I couldn't pull any smoke through. (Like pulling an a clogged straw, this was with all 6) Even when splitting them open to retrieve their innards, they "sprang" or "popped" open, revealing the amount of pressure the paper was actually under. I have smoked my fair share of Colorado dispensary, and personally rolled joints. These have been the tightest by far.

3. I'm not sure how the medicine man does their inventory, but my checkout experience was long and confusing. I purchased 2 joints of three different stains. I was forced to checkout 3 separate times, in which I was given my change back and we immediately began the next transaction. It felt robotic, and silly and I feel like the smaller details are being overlooked.

I've been to several different dispensaries and this one was the best experience thus far. Not only were they very friendly but were professional, knowledgeable and very informative, they knew exactly
what I needed. I dealt with a girl named Kaylee and let her know that my tolerance is quite high she reassured me that she had a bud that would give me a head and body high named White Girl @ 29%. Boy did Kaylee delivery she superceded my expectations! Let me just say it was one of the best highs I've had in a LONG time!! I am a permanent traveling customer. I love The Medicine Man! Anytime I'm in Colorado this will be the only dispensary I go to.

Was disappointed with my visit here, not because of the product but the customer service is definitely lacking. Was not greeted by anyone when we walked in and just kind of wandered in aimlessly not knowing where to go, then a tattooed gal came out from the back and just seemed annoyed we were even there (mind you the place was empty) when we asked to see the buds she didn't bother explaining anything about the different strains and their highs, didnt even know what the bud was grown with. I'm sorry but if you're going to hire people who are completely ignorant to the industry and know nothing about marijuana in general, the least they could do is hire friendly and professional people. Feel bad for anyone just crossing the border and having that as their first dispensary experience.

would love to have a description and pictures of the products on the website so i can shop before making a trip there.

This store is racist towards Native Americans. They even have a wooden cigar Indian chief at the door which is derogatory. Rude, poor service. Go down the road to the other ones. This does not honor our native people by naming it Medicine Man. Your employees sure let us Native peoples feel very welcome at this store. Not!
