After going into the shop this week I have to say I am dissapointed in the smoke shop I used for 8 years. I came back to smokin glass almost immediately after getting back into Dallas after 2 years of living away. I walked in to see shelves LINED with acrylic "waterpipes". The one case they have with pipes are all fumed clear spoons and they actually wanted 50 dollars for a fumed China spoon. I took a look at the tiny shelf of glass "waterpipes" and asked the price on the only semi interesting piece, which was a half worked piece with an implosion cab on the side. They wanted 200+ for it. WHAAAAAAA???? LOL, I proceeded to ask if they had any nice glass and listed at least 5 artists before getting this annoyed response "We have over 180 artists in here I can't begin to remember them all" EXCUSE ME????? Why do you work in a glass shop then?! THAT IS YOUR JOB. (Btw if there are actually 180 artists in the shop they are counting each and every one of the Chinese glass blowers) They don't even carry scientific glass brands anymore. Do not waste your hard earned money on a glass shop who doesn't even know the biggest names in glass that are known worldwide. If you live in this area please just look online or go to the glass house texas and save your money and get some cool glass for the same price. I did buy a medtainer because I don't like leaving without purchasing something from a local shop, but Smokin Glassworks you need to invest in a trip to AGE next year or just look online and catch on up to 2016 because your shop and knowledge of glass is straight out of '91. Instagram is your friend.
