When I checked in to the Tower 64 Motel on my last trip through Trinidad I got into a conversation with the desk clerk, and he showed me his new Pax 3 vape pen. It's very advanced and even has an app, which makes me laugh just thinking about it! I decided I'd get one for my daughter, as she'd recently discovered the virtues of a table vaporizer for her cannabis; I figured she might like a wireless portable that needed no plug-in or tabletop furnace piece. He told me he thought THCU had them so I consulted Google and struck out across Trinidad.
I had to laugh when I saw the building. The big military-warehouse-looking metal structure, painted a rather bilious mental-hospital-green, is just too incongruous rising out of the dust of Trinidad. But if you know what to look for you really can't miss it. Getting to it is not straightforward, but Google is your friend.
I went in and was immediately shuttled through the "waiting room" to the sales room, where I was met with a wondrous display of glass accessories and all the usual odds and ends one finds in the well-stocked dispensary. Glass display cases ringed the room, with happy staff members circling their prey... er, customers, like hungry tigers. All were friendly and cordial (well wouldn't you be if you worked in a place like that?), and I was immediately given the benefit of their obvious great knowledge of the products. Unfortunately they did not have that specific model of Pax vape pen, but they were so nice I decided to get a couple of samples of their pet products for my daughter to try. I asked the nice lady to wrap me up a sampler of a few grams of their best Indica-heavy hybrids; later my daughter affirmed that they were very good.
Another point in their favor, since they didn't have what I wanted they told me of a couple of other places in town that might have it. Those places didn't but at least they weren't shy about sending me to the competition under the circumstances.
A great place and a funny building. I asked my budtender if the "U" in THCU stood for University or as a homophone for "You," but I guess her morning bake had left her unable to grasp my (admittedly) rather pedestrian attempt at humor. Ah, well, the product certainly seems to be good! :)
Oh, and on that note, check out the homepage on their website; the concise history of cannabis is a hoot, and another obvious tip of the hat to the quality of their product!
